THE KEY TO FITNESS

In order to remain fit it is imperative to include the following in our lives:
Games
There are two types of games outdoor games and indoor games. Indoor games includes puzzles, scrabbles etc. even though indoor games are a good source of enjoyment and entertainment, they are not as useful as outdoor games. Outdoor games include football, cricket, basketball etc. they play a crucial role in fitness as they involve a lot of physical activity. Outdoor games make us active, energetic, attentive and mentally and physically fit as well. Outdoor games are very important for children as they help them in their proper physical and mental growth. However, playing games in the sun is not advised because it harms the skin.
Nutritious Food
In order to be fit, we need a healthy and nutritious diet which consists of water and six vital nutrients which are as following:
·         Fats
·         Carbohydrates
·         Minerals
·         Vitamins
·         Proteins
·         Fibre
Fats
Fats helps to keep our body warm. Fat is found in foods such as butter, margarine, cheese, milk and other dairy products and meat. Fat such as cooking oil is made from plants. Consuming huge amounts of fats in our meals is dangerous for us as it results in cholesterol and heart diseases and also makes us over weight.
Vitamins
Vitamins are organic compounds. Our body needs Vitamins A, B, C, D, E and K in sufficient amount.
Minerals
Minerals are inorganic substance needed by our body for proper growth of tissues.
Proteins
Thousands of amino acids together form a chain called protein. The main purpose of protein is to build body tissue, hormones and enzymes for growth. Egg, milk, fish and meat are some of the foods that contain protein in large amounts. Protein are formed by oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen and carbon.
Carbohydrates
Carbohydrates are the sugars and starches found in sweet dishes, rice, wheat, bread, potatoes etc. carbohydrates provides us quick energy because the simplest form of carbohydrates is glucose which is diffusible an soluble in our blood stream. Excess carbohydrates get stored in our body as fats.
Fibre
Fibre is made up of cellulose. It greatly helps our body in digestion, helping to move the food in the gut and preventing constipation.
Water
70% of human body is made up of water. Water is formed when two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom react with each other to form a molecule of thousands of hydrogen and oxygen and they form a single molecule of water. At least 10 glasses of water is required by our body daily. Clean drinking water is critical because polluted water can be harmful, causing various ailments.
Workout
Workout is essential for fitness and a healthy lifestyle. A simple and effective exercise is going on a morning walk. It energizes us and makes us more active mentally so that we can focus on our work in a better way. Moreover, it keeps lethargy at bay and also helps improve our blood circulation. It also helps in relieving stress as one can enjoy the fresh morning breeze and the first rays of the sun and the chirping of birds.
There are other effective exercises too, such as yoga and aerobics. The keep one energetic and aid in losing weight. They are also beneficial as they cause stretch so that organs in our body work actively.
